Unlike 2- or 3-Position lift chairs where the back and legrest operate together with a single motor, these luxurious chairs have two independent motors, allowing the legrest to be set to any position without impacting the position of the back (and vice versa).

In the Lounge Reclined position, the back reclines for lounging or napping while the legrest raises completely. The lounge reclined position is not available on a 2-position lift chair. Due to their single-motor functionality, this is the only position in which the legrest is fully raised on 3 Position lift chairs. The level of recline is perfect for lounging or napping, but it can be too significant for most people to comfortably watch television. If you want to raise the legrest completely while in a more upright position or you need a chair that reclines completely into a sleeping position, please select an Infinite Position or Zero Gravity lift chair.

Twilight Lounge offers a slightly reclined position where the back of the chair reclines slightly and the footrest offers a slight bend in the knee with an extra 30° of frame tilt. This position can be achieve on Twilight 3-position and Twilight Zero Gravity lift chairs using an extra motor which operates the back and legrests together to achieve a lounge position then utilizes the Twilight motor to add an extra 30° of tilt to the position.
